FAA REGULATIONS

Numerous government regulations govern drone operations within the national airspace (i.e., outside enclosed structures). In the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandates that operators familiarize themselves with the rules regarding small UAVs and adhere to them.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNDERSTANDING AND COMPLYING WITH ALL REGULATIONS. The FAA maintains a fact sheet with information about its regulations here: FAA NEWS and FACTS. Before flying we ask that you consult Know Before You Fly, a site created by industry groups in partnership with the FAA to educate users about the responsible operation of UAV/UAS. Additionally, there are several areas where drone flights are prohibited. Important information regarding restricted zones can be accessed here: Airspace Restrictions
